Butterfield Pre-School is open 49 weeks of the year. We will be closed on all public bank holidays, 2 weeks at Christmas and the first week during the summer school holidays.

Please do not bring your child before the session starts: 7.30 for Early Birds, 9.00 for morning session etc. If you do need to bring them early for a particular reason, let us know beforehand. We will do our best to help. This allows us to adhere to our correct staffing ratios. Please allow your child to stay until the end of the session if possible; otherwise they may be missing out on a particular activity. Please try not to be late collecting your child, as they often get upset. Children will receive a light snack at 10am / 2pm and 4.15pm; this will consist of a savoury selection and a choice of fruit.

FOR YOUR CHILD PROTECTION – ALWAYS tell us if you will not be collecting your child yourself, and who it will be.

This should be someone named on the registration form that staff have been introduced to.

New Starters

Your child will be invited to visit our group along with parent/carer before they start. We would like parent/carers to stay with their child until they are both happy about the separation.

Parents are welcome to stay with their child for as long as is necessary. Time spent together now will make your child feel secure, and pay dividends later.

Fees

Butterfield Pre-School

Fees must be paid monthly, for the sessions booked, with no credits for absence. Our preferred method of payment would be a monthly in advance direct bank payment to:

  • Bank: HSBC
  • Account Name: Butterfield Pre School Group
  • Sort Code: 40-47-51
  • Account Number: 31094076

We expect all bills to be paid in 14 days from date of issue.

We also accept payment via cash, all Childcare Vouchers and tax free childcare which could save you even more.

We also offer government funded childcare places for both 2 years old (15 hours) and 3-4 year old (30 hours).

We can offer 30 hour provision for working parents of three and four year olds.

The government funds the extension of free childcare to support parents who currently work, wish to return to work or to increase their working hours, by making childcare more affordable.

ELIGIBILITY:

To be able to access 30 hours both parents need to be working (or the sole parent is working in a lone parent family), and;

  • Each parent earns on average, a weekly minimum equivalent to 16 hours at National Minimum Wage or National Living Wage
  • Earns less than £100,000 per year (when one parent in a household has an income of £100,000 or more, that family will not be eligible to take up the extra free hours).

‘Working’ means both employed and self-employed persons may be eligible.

You do not need to actually work 16 hours a week, but your earnings must reflect at least 16 hours of work at National Minimum Wage or National Living Wage.

Families may also be eligible where one parent gets benefits relating to caring responsibilities or a disability and the other parent is working.

The standard entitlement of 15 hours per week for 38 weeks will still be available even if you aren’t eligible for the additional entitlement.

Eligibility checking can be accessed via the HMRC website:

https://www.gov.uk/30-hours-free-childcare

If you require more information on 15 hours funded childcare for 2 years old or 15/ 30 Hours Childcare, you can visit Stockton’s information page Stockton Information Directory/childcare. If you would like to speak to someone in nursery about the provision please contact us on 01642 788499 or Info@butterfieldpreschool.co.uk

Illness & Admissions

Illness

If your child is ill, please keep them at home. You are the one they need to give them comfort and love. If they are unwell or have an accident at Pre School, we will take care of them until we can contact you (or someone nominated on their registration card). If your child will be absent for a prolonged period, please let us know.

It is important that we have up to date contact telephone numbers, both for home and work.

Admissions Policy

ALL CHILDREN ARE WELCOME

Places are open to all children from 2 years old to 12 years old. If we have children on the waiting list, they will be allocated places according to their date of birth, or need, rather than ‘first come first served’ basis. We would always try to find a place for a child whose need was urgent.
